Best-Selling Online Masterclass Reveals…

How to create incredible landscape photography with the camera you already own!

From: William Patino
Re: Creating Incredible Landscape Photography

Dear Photographer,

If you’d like to start taking better landscape images, without having to buy a new camera, this may be the most important thing you read on the internet…

Why? Because I’m going to explain how I went from taking awful photos, to making a living with my camera, being published in multiple magazines, and finally hanging on my mum’s wall.

You are going to discover how you can start doing the same with your own camera.

Here are some of my early images… I loved what I was doing but my images were pretty rubbish.

I’m probably a lot like you…

I haven’t always been a professional photographer teaching thousands of people both online and in person.

Literally, a few years ago people laughed at my photography - I didn’t know what I was doing.

The truth is that I was never much of an artist… I couldn’t paint, I couldn’t sing, I definitely couldn’t write a poem for my wife. Being an artist seemed way out of my reach. I was working as an airconditioning installer, suffering from depression, and never enjoyed being outside.

Life was brutal.

I realized I needed a way to express myself and I needed an excuse to get outside. That’s when I started taking pictures of the beach near my house. And, I can honestly say that decision changed my life.

Taking a photo is like magic. You are freezing a moment in time to share with others. Something they missed. It’s your moment to tell the stories of the places you’ve experienced. You get to communicate about the world with your camera. How beautiful.

This feels even more special when you look back and realize that you captured a great photo. One that you are proud of. One that truly transmits the emotion you felt at the time.

Here’s the thing though. When I started, things didn’t really work out this way.

My Photos Were Nothing Like the Ones I Wanted to Create

If you’ve been taking photos for a while, you’ve probably experienced the shame and disappointment of not getting the shot. You get home, check out the file, and it’s overexposed or just flat. That magic moment you experienced out in nature is gone forever and there’s nothing you can do to bring it back.

This happened to me time and time again. I’d witness a crazy sunrise, hike to the top of a mountain, or drive for hours to a secret waterfall, only to get home and realize I’d made some stupid mistakes and completely messed up my images.

I wanted to learn, I wanted to tell these stories, and I wanted to capture better images…

The Best Camera is the One You Have With You

Man, I got fed up with hearing this. I was certain that my camera was holding me back.

I was using a five-year-old Canon DSLR with a cheap kit lens. To me, it had to be the camera. Surely… Whenever I look at what the pros use, they have $4,000 setups with five lenses, tripods, etc, etc.

But I couldn’t afford a new camera and I almost gave up. I thought the barrier I needed to overcome was to buy a new camera.

Your Camera is Just a Tool

Because photography had all but healed my depression at this point, I didn’t give up.

Thankfully, I started receiving compliments on my photography and it re-lit the flame in my heart.

But I had to change my mind. I had to start thinking of the camera as a tool, there must be a way to use this tool to get the photos I want. I learned about lenses and megapixels and realized that, unless I’m printing billboard-size images, I don’t need a new camera. I need a new technique.

The Technique is More Important than the Camera

Now, lusting after the newest camera is fun, but it achieves nothing when it comes to your photos.

Think about it this way, if you are writing a song, would buying a new guitar make you a better songwriter? Or should you spend more time on improving your technique?

New cameras come out every year, but the landscape images I love from 100 years ago are no “worse” than the ones I love now.

So rather than going on a spending spree, I started learning.

Every Spare Moment of My Life Spent with my Camera in My Hands

I tried to study photography and instantly got confused by all the terms, rules, and mathematics flying around. I took classes, read books, and talked to “pros”. Still to this day I’m not sure any of it made a difference.

I just wanted to improve my own images, I didn’t care what’s “perfect”! That was my viewpoint.

So, I had to teach myself how to improve.

The first thing I learned?

I Wasn’t Thinking About the Viewer

From studying images I adored I realized something huge. It’s not about the photographer. It’s about the person looking at the image.

Even the most beautiful place in the world can look boring. It’s the photographer’s “job” to photograph it correctly.

When I walk into a scene, I’m excited, there’s nature, water, clouds, etc. I would just raise the camera and click.

But the masters of photography don’t. They wait, they digest the scene, they find unique angles that lead the viewer through the image.

They don’t raise the camera and click because it “looks amazing”. Instead, they find a powerful story to tell using the landscape around. THESE photos that stand the test of time.

They aren’t shooting on auto mode and allowing the camera to do all the work. They take full control of their camera so they know exactly what the final image will look like.

They aren’t taking 150 photos in ten minutes, they develop a story, a composition, wait for light, and snap a handful. Filled with confidence that when they get home the images will be fantastic.

You too could have this confidence not too long from now. You may think you’ve tried everything, but, you CAN make huge improvements in next to no time because…

All Great Photographers Use Specific Techniques

I believe anyone can become excellent by just applying these techniques.

How do I know this? Well, I discovered and started using these techniques and my photography will never be the same again!

Long gone are the frustrating days of photography, I have fun, I feel rewarded, and I’m proud of the photos I take.

But things got kind of crazy, out of nowhere.

Tens of thousands of people started following me on Instagram, compliments were flying in, and I was getting too busy with photography to continue my day job.

And there I was, confused.

Some People Think They Don’t Have the Talent

You might think you can’t do this because you don’t have the talent.

Honestly, that’s not surprising. That’s exactly how I felt.

I thought great photographers just had this natural artistic talent. I thought I would never become a professional photographer - i didn’t have the talent after all.

Here’s the truth…

You don’t need “talent” to capture incredible images.

When I started really using these techniques that I had copied from the pros and developed my own workflow that complimented my photography the feedback was unreal.

18 months into photography, Apple bought one of my photos as a background for their OS… What the heck?!

Now, you might be wondering how you can start taking the best images of your life with your camera…

I never knew how to help with this.

You could start with the boring books, analyze photos, assist a pro, and try all the other painful routes I tried. If you do all that and put in the hours ever day, your photos will 100% improve over the next few years.

After all, that’s exactly what I did, and it work. But it was a lot of work…

So much work that I’ve become passionate about creating an easier option for people like you. Someone who wants to see big changes in their photography in a fraction of the time it took me…
